Hyperia City introduces Ink Drops, a new type of temporary ink resource.

Unlike ordinary ink cards, Ink Drops are counters that can be spent once to help pay ink costs.

Each Ink Drop provides 1 ink when removed from play.

Players can use Ink Drops to:

• Help play characters, items and actions
• Pay for abilities
• Accelerate certain plays
• Trigger additional effects on cards that interact with Ink Drops
• Create new combinations and deck-building strategies

Ink Drops are not ordinary deck cards and do not remain available after being spent.

Some Hyperia City cards also become more powerful when Ink Drops are used to play them.

This mechanic introduces additional strategic possibilities for both new and experienced Disney Lorcana players.

New Adventurous Keyword

Hyperia City also introduces the Adventurous keyword.

Characters with Adventurous cannot challenge and must quest each turn if able.

One notable example is:

This card combines the Adventurous mechanic with an ability that interacts with Ink Drops.

The new keyword provides additional gameplay options and creates opportunities for strategies focused on gaining lore.
